Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

Tattoo aftercare starts in the tattoo shop. Once the tattoo is done, the artist will apply a thin layer of tattoo jelly/ A&D ointment over the entire tattooed area.

WASH your hands before cleaning your TATTOO!

Gently wash the tattoo with hypoallergenic soap. Dial or a liquid pump soap is the best.
Massage the soap in circular motions onto the tattoo area, do this gently you are washing away/reducing the scab layers that are trying to build up and getting all bacteria off the tattoo.

Use warm water and rinse your hands getting all the soap off. Now rinse your tattoo with lukewarm water. Grab a clean cloth and pat dry your tattoo dry.

Make sure to not rub back and forth as you can rip or damage the tattoo.

Once dry spread a light layer of A&D ointment all over your tattoo. This makes a layer of protection from bacteria and other things  getting into your blood stream through your tattoo.

Remember your tattoo is a wound. Now that you know how to wash your tattoo, you need to repeat the washing process at least 5-7 times a day. 

This will make your tattoo rich, vibrant, bright and look super good.

It takes about 21 full days for a tattoo to actually heal.

Here are things you do not do during those 21 days. 

• No Swimming pools or hot tubs.
• No tanning.
• No Drinking liquor for 72 hours after getting your tattoo.
• NO lotion!! No Aquaphor ( We do not put lotion on any other wound, why on a healing tattoo)?
